The Championship will start on May 6 with the 12th Historical Re-enactment of the Coppa Milano - Sanremo, which will take place from May 6 to 8 as the first of the Campionato Italiano Grandi Eventi ACI Sport 2021. Participation in the race will be reserved for cars built between 1906 and 1976, which, crossing Lombardy and Piedmont, will go as far as Sanremo. The crews will face an adventure over 700 kilometers long, helping to evoke the timeless charm of the Coppa Milano-Sanremo.
The season will continue with the Coppa d'Oro delle Dolomiti, which will take place in the enchanting scenery of the Dolomites from 15 to 18 July 2021. It will make its base in Cortina as usual and will push on the most famous Dolomite passes, to let the competitors live an unforgettable experience of sport and five-star hospitality.
After the Summer break, the season will continue from 16 to 19 September with the Gran Premio Nuvolari, the race that celebrates the legend of Tazio Nuvolari, "Il Mantovano Volante", the driver who more than any other has marked the history of motorsports in 20th century.
The Targa Florio Classica will close the Championship and will make competitors relive the glories of a race that has become a legend of motoring, retracing the roads that wind through the Madonie park and which have seen the heroic deeds of drivers of the caliber of Nuvolari, Varzi, Ascari, Taruffi, Bandini and Vaccarella. The appointment is therefore in Palermo from 14 to 17 October 2021.
"2020 was a very difficult year for all motorsport competitions due to the Covid-19 pandemic", commented Marco Rogano, General Manager of ACI Sport SpA, "We have worked hard to confirm most of the competitions. It would have been easier to cancel the races, but it was essential to confirm them, clearly with all the attention and compliance with the health safety rules. With the Coppa d'Oro delle Dolomiti, Targa Florio Classica and Gran Premio Nuvolari we had very positive results, both on the in view of the number of participants, both as a recognition by the participants of the organizational quality. Nevertheless, several foreign crews, due to the pandemic and the consequent transfer difficulties, preferred to postpone their participation to next year. We are waiting for them! ", concludes Marco Rogano.
